Teacher: John Carlino, Kenmore West high School

John Carlino, a teacher of German and French, has taught at Kenmore West High School since 1995. Mr. Carlino has done question writing and editing for the NYS Proficiency Exams in French and German. He is currently also Interim Executive Director of NYSAFLT - the New York State Association of Foreign Language Teachers and is advisor to the Kenmore West German Club and the Kenmore West Gay-Straight Alliance.
Mr. Carlino is also actively involved in the Western New York Chapter of AATG ( American Association of Teachers of German) and the Kenmore West Ski Club.. Mr. Carlino credits his ability in German to having spent a great deal of time in Germany, especially at summer study seminars offered by the Goethe Institut Internationes and with his school’s school exchange with the Angergymnasium in Jena, Thüringen.
Mr. Carlino has a B.A. in French and Education, and a Masters degree in T.E.S.O.L. from SUNY Buffalo.
